Essa Township provides residents and visitors with an abundance of parks for the enjoyment of all, and is home to 20 playgrounds. Each playground offers users different amenities, please check out our list of park locations and amenities.

Maplewood Community Park Update: Coming Soon
Location: 191 Maplewood Drive, Angus
Scheduled Construction Start: Mid-June 2024
Expected Completion: Early Fall 2024
Maplewood Community Park is set to become a vibrant recreational area for families and children in Angus. The new playground will feature modern play equipment and a thoughtfully designed layout, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all. This park is an Ontario War Memorial that is sponsored and funded by local veterans, associations and businesses as well as the Township of Essa. It is a quiet place to sit and contemplate the efforts and sacrifices made by our soldiers in times of peace and war, around the globe.

- Roll of Honour (containing names of soldiers that have lost their lives in peacekeeping efforts)
- commemorative signage and flags

Off-leash Dog Parks
As a reminder to dog owners, dogs are required to be leashed until they are inside of the gated off-leash dog park.
