Call Before You Dig

Prior to commencing any excavation works, you should always contact Ontario One Call (ON1Call) to have locates done.  This will help you to identify where underground wires, pipes or cables are located.  Not knowing their locations can not only be costly and dangerous!

About Ontario One Call

Ontario One Call is a not-for-profit organization that is mandated by the province to provide "call before you dig" service to residents.  On1Call provides and effective link between the excavator operator and utility owners.  The service is provided free of charge, and is required by law in most circumstances.  

Apply for a Permit

You need to complete and submit a Building Permit Application in order to add an accessory building to your property.

Fees

Building Permit Fees vary and are dependent on the scope of your building or renovation project.  We will calculate all building permit fees after reviewing the application.  You will not be issued a building permit until you have paid all permit fees and obtained all necessary approvals.

Please make sure to include the following information with your application:

• Building Permit Application
• Site Plan
• Construction Drawings (two paper copies, full size and to scale)
• digital construction drawings 
• letter of authorization (if applicable)
• applicable approvals
