The Township of Essa is undertaking a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) to evaluate options that would address deficiencies associated with Bridge No. 9 on the 5th Line over the Nottawasaga River. A Public Information Centre was held on December 13, 2023 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. A copy of the presentation materials is now available for viewing.
The Township of Essa is set to launch it's Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) Program, a road safety initiative pilot project designed to work jointly with other current speed reduction measures to improve safety in our communities.
The Township of Essa has initiated a Schedule B Class EA Addendum to the Angus Infrastructure Master Plan for water supply and storage solutions in Angus.
The Essa Fire Department will be conducting practical training in order to re-certify its Tanker Shuttle Accreditation on June 28th, July 6th, 19th and 26th from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm .
TAKE NOTICE THAT Council of the Township of Essa passed Development Charge By-law No. 2023-32 on the 21st day of June, 2023, under Section 2 of the Development Charges Act, 1997 (the Act). Any person or organization may appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal under Section 14 of the Act, in respect of the Development Charges By-law, by filing with the Clerk of the Township of Essa on or before Monday, July 31st, 2023 a notice of appeal setting out the objection to the By-law and the reasons supporting the objection
Essa is proposing a Short-Term Accommodation By-law and is looking for feedback!
