Canada Post Disruption

Notice of a Public Meeting Pursuant to the Planning Act Concerning A Temporary Use By-law (Z3-24) (253 Barrie Street, Thornton, Con 11 N Pt Lot 15)

The Township of Essa Council will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at the Essa Administration Centre (5786 County Road No. 21, near Baxter) to consider a Temporary Use By-law Amendment for 253 Barrie Street. The proposal requests temporary permission to use a single-family dwelling as a real estate office in a Residential (R1) zone, where commercial use is not typically permitted. Residents are encouraged to attend and provide feedback. Written submissions are also welcome. The Township of Essa seeks a detail-oriented Engineering Coordinator to support capital and development projects, enforce agreements, and manage engineering standards. Key qualifications include a degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, strong Civil 3D/AutoCAD skills, and a valid Class "G" driver's license.
