Due to an increase in dog bites and complaints, the Township of Essa is reminding its residents to be responsible pet owners - keep your furry friend on a leash.
The County of Simcoe is seeking input and comments early in the County Road 27 Widening and Improvements study process such that they can be incorporated into the planning and overall study design.
Under Council direction, the Township of Essa is currently undertaking a Transportation and Trails Master Plan Project and an Automated Speed Enforcement Program to bring forward new traffic calming measures, enforce speed limits across the Township, and to help make our communities safer along with reviewing our community Safety Zones. The Township will be conducting several Public Meetings in the near future to provide for public input and to ensure that all voices are heard for both projects.
This notice is to advise that the Township will be conducting a Preliminary Investigation on the gravel section of the following roads: 8th Line from the 5th Sideroad to the 10th Sideroad 9th Line from County Road 21 to the 10th Sideroad 11th Line from County Road 21 to the 20th Sideroad

Essa Township is excited to announce the purchase of land for a future new firehall for Angus and Essa. The existing Station #2 in Angus was constructed about 50 years ago and Essa’s population has grown such that a new firehall is needed.
