Fire Danger Rating Update
The Township of Essa has lifted the burn ban effective immediately. The Fire Danger Rating has returned to Moderate.
Water Restriction - Friday August 15, 2025 – Until Further Notice
Effective Friday, August 15, 2025, residents are asked to reduce non-essential water use until further notice to ensure adequate supply for emergencies and meet regulatory requirements.

Notice to Residents - Sewermain Flushing and Inspection
Angus Residents are advised that sewer maintenance/flushing will be occurring August 18th and August 22nd between the hours of 7am-5pm.
Notice of Road Closure - 5th Line – Centre St to Gold Park Gate
The Township of Essa hereby advises that a section of 5th line between Centre Street & Gold Park Gate will be closed for construction, with no through traffic permitted. The road will be closed on August 11th beginning at 7am until approximately 5pm.
Notice Of Study Commencement
The Township of Essa (Township) is undertaking a Schedule ‘C’ Class Environmental Assessment (EA) for the expansion of the Angus Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to address capacity needs identified in the 2022 Infrastructure Master Plan (IMP). Any required upgrades to the WWTP – such as performance and capacity enhancements to support future growth and continued discharge to the Nottawasaga River – are included within the scope of this Schedule ‘C’ Class EA.

GIPI is expected to commence construction on the week of August 5th, 2025, it is anticipated that the project will be completed the week of September 13th, 2025.
