Notice of Construction - Road Construction - Culvert Structure Replacements - Update

Please be advised that Sierra Excavating Enterprises will be commencing road culvert structure replacements on:

• 8th Line, North of 20th Sideroad – Culvert 24
• 8th Line, North of 10th Sideroad – Culvert 27
• 9th Line, North of 10th Sideroad – Culvert 28

The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, asphalt removal, removal of the existing culvert structure, installation of a new culvert structure, road restoration including asphalt paving, and reinstatement of the guardrail. To safely complete the work, full road closures will be required at each culvert location for the duration of construction. Advance notice of each closure and any changes to local access will be provided where possible.

Further to the Road Closure Notice issued by the Township of Essa on July 22, 2026, for the construction associated with the replacement of culvert structures on the 8th Line and 9th Line, we are writing to provide the following update.

• Culvert 24 – 8th Line north of 20th Sideroad: Road anticipated to reopen to traffic on September 28.
• Culvert 27 – 8th Line north of 10th Sideroad: Road closed today and expected to reopen on October 23.
• Culvert 28 – 9th Line north of 10th Sideroad: Road scheduled to close on October 7 and reopen on November 30.

We will continue to keep you informed of any future adjustments to the temporary road‑closure and reopening dates.

While every effort will be made to minimize disruptions, residents and motorists should expect temporary inconveniences, including traffic delays, signed detours, construction noise, construction vehicles and dust.

Access to private driveways is to remain open at all times. Emergency services, waste collection, mail delivery, and school transportation will be coordinated to maintain service wherever possible.

The Township, Contractor, and project team appreciate your patience and cooperation throughout the construction period. Residents, motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians are reminded to exercise caution when travelling through or near the construction zone and to obey all posted construction signage and the directions of traffic control personnel.
