Please be advised that LeClaire Park closed due to increased and unsafe water levels in the area. The Township of Essa ask that residents avoid the area until water levels recede and it becomes safe to access LeClaire Park.

The Township of Essa is a dynamic and growing municipality with a current population of approximately 24,000, located in the County of Simcoe and southwest of the City of Barrie. The Township’s Public Works Department is currently seeking individuals to fill the requirements of contract Labourer positions. Reporting to the Roads Supervisor, the Labourer is responsible for a variety of construction, maintenance and repair services for Township roads. The position is based on a 40-hour work week from April to October. Candidates must be able to operate a variety of light equipment, possibly including: front-end loader, dozer, tractor-backhoe, tandem dump trucks, and other specialized equipment, and carry out labour-intensive tasks.
