The subject properties are zoned Rural (RL) and Environmental Protection (EP). The applicant is seeking consent for a minor boundary adjustment between the properties known as 4992 & 5002 25th Sideroad. The property known as 4992 25th Sideroad has a lot area of 10.983 hectares, and the property known as 5002 25th Sideroad has a lot area of 10.324 hectares. The applicant is proposing to transfer a large portion of land from 4992 25th Sideroad to 5002 25th Sideroad, resulting in a lot area of approximately 1.0 hectares, and 20.0 hectares, respectively.

NOTICE: Stonemount Community Park Closure and Parking Restrictions

Please be advised that Stonemount Community Park, located at 152 Greenwood Drive in Angus, has officially been closed as of September 3, 2024, to allow for the development and construction of a new elementary public school by the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) on the site. There is no parking lot access available at this location during the closure period, and the area will remain closed to all community recreational use.

Essa Council proclaimed September 2024 as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. A flag-raising ceremony was held on September 4 at 5:45 PM to raise awareness and support research for improved diagnosis and treatment of childhood cancer.

The subject property is zoned Agricultural (A). The applicant is seeking relief from Section 4.38.3a), f), g) and Section 6.2g) of Essa Township’s Zoning By-law to allow for a new SFD to be constructed while one exists and to convert the existing SFD to an Additional Residential Unit (ARU), which will exceed the maximum allowable size for an ARU, the maximum distance an ARU can be located from a primary dwelling, and to allow the ARU to have a basement.

This full-time, seasonal position involves patrolling and plowing roads on a 40-hour per week basis, with call-ins and variable shifts depending on weather. Candidates must hold a valid DZ license and have 1-4 years of experience in snow removal operations. The wage range is $24.17 to $28.43 per hour, with no benefits.
